I want to be happy with myself again. I want to be able to play sports again, fit into gorgrous sometimes sexy clothing, be healthy, and be able to look in the mirror and smile. If you don't want it for yourself you'll never succeed. Never do it for any one but yourself. The first couple tries was for my boyfriend and tada still chubby.
Another reason, which is high on my motivation list is my neice. I know I said never do it for any one for yourself but this is different. My neice is growing up with 2 chubby parents and her mother had surgery and is super thin now. She is only 11 years old and already weighs as much as I did at 20. I want to show her that she can be healthy and at a good weight doing all the right things. With exercise and healthy eating. I don't want her to be one of those girls who sees magazines and tv and takes drastic measures to lose weight. I don't want her to think she can eat whatever she wants and have surgery to fix all her problems like her mother did. I want to be that role model her and many other girls need.
Not only is it just for my neice but a couple other family members too. I want them to see that I did it and they can too. I would give anything for some of them to see that they are killing themselves.

Here are a few motivation tricks I am trying too. For example writing this blog. Sharing my experience. Even if no one reads it it's a great way to keep track of everything going on. My ups, downs, struggles, and successes. I also like to go on phitter.com. It's like twitter but for people also trying to lose weight. Great for tips and advice or just a place to talk if you need it. I keep a diet and exercise journal as well. Like this site I can look back and see what I did right when I lose good numbers and what I did wrong if I gain. Also I joined stickk.com. What you do is set a final goal and date. Each week it sets a weekly goal for you. If you fail to accomplish your goal each week you pay, literally. You can have the money sent to a friend, an enemy, or what I did was have it sent to a charity. You just have to remember to get on each week because if you don't you lose money. Another thing I like is setting goals and rewards for when I achieve those goals. Here's my weight loss mini goals:

GOALS Rewards
Start 178.0 ------
169.1 Buy a juicer
160.6 Buy 2 new exercise outfits
152.6 Buy hoopnotica
145 Start tanning & take a day off work
137.8 Manicure
130.9 Pedicure
124.4 Hair cut & color
118.2 Buy new clothes
115 Vacation

With all this I feel like I am on the road to success!

What I've tried

Really what haven't I tried just short of surgery.
~Diet pills- I have tried numerous (to many to count). Some have done absolutely nothing. Some made me fell like I was having a heart attack. Non that brought on the super model body.
~Nutrisystem- Went broke and sent my taste buds running. No weight loss.
~Weight Watchers- I lost 10 pounds but the meetings didn't fit in my schedule. I gained it back.
~The Master Cleanse- Went 2 days on it and got so sick I could barely move. It did flush me out like crazy but trying to chug a jug of slat water and living on a lemonade concoction was not for me. Plus it's not cheap at all. Someone told me the fact I got sick was a normal part of the cleanse and I should take time off work to do the cleanse in the full. HA!!!! Exactly what I want to do use all my vacation time to sit on the crapper. Good tip buddy.
~Other Cleanses- All of them made me sick with no success of weight loss or loss of cravings.
~Self Hypnosis- I loved it. Very relaxing. That's about it.
~Cookie Diet- Did I really think I woudl lose weight by eating "cookies"?
~Meal Replacement Drinks- Numerous brands of these and nope nothing besides a rumbling tummy.
~South Beach Diet- The cravings were way to overwhelming.
~Doctors Advice- Doctor say's "Diet and exercise, bye." Really? Thanks doc. That's all she had for me. Maybe a few pointers because I would have never thought diet and exercise could help. DUHHHHHHH!!!
~As Seen On TV Exercise Equipment- I have a basment full of equipment and DVDs which all have been used maybe 3 or 4 times. Bad thing working the night shift. Infomercials rule your life.

I'm probably forgetting some but I'm done thinking of all my past failures.

How I got to the weight I am today

I haven't always been big. Growing up I was skinny to average size. In the past year I have gained over 50 pounds. I'm about 5 feet 1 inch tall and at my heaviest I was 185 pounds. Today I am 178 pounds (also known as an Umpa Lumpa). Now let me explain what brought on my weight gain.
I am going to start off saying the depo shot is evil and the work of satan himself. It does have it's one good point. No period. Every women hears that and they jump with joy. I know I did. But I would must rather deal with sticking in a tampon then all the weight gain and many other not so terrific side effects. I've been off of it for a couple months and still dealing with the awful side effects. So warning to all women JUST SAY NO TO DEPO! My migraine medication had side effects of weight gain too but not as extreme as depo. Then next is I work the overnight shift (10p-8a). It's hard even after working it for years to schedule my life around it. Like sleep, eating, exercise, all of life's little ditties. I have seen that a good number of people who work the third shift gain weight and have trouble losing it. I would be one of those people. Next, don't let me forget genetics. My fathers side of the family are known for there bellys. They all have skinny legs, skinny legs, but big round bellys. My mother's side of the family are known for their badonkadonks aka bootys. You know the really wide hips that sway two steps behind you. We'll I'm stuck right in the middle of both. Chubby all over. Thanks genetics!
Now that I have blamed everyone and everything else for my problems I must take some responibility for the jiggle going on here. Ever since I was little I have had a bottomless pit of a stomach but that never effected me. I was one of the girls who could eat anything and not gain an ounce. You know those girls you want to kick in the face because I know I'd love to now. Now today I can eat everything in sight in one sitting and never feel full and want more. Just now every bite adds about 10 inches. Chinese, burritos, pizza, any Italian food and chocolate chip cookies all my favorite foods that hate me with a overwhelming passion. Also when I was younger I was ran track, played volleyball, cheered, and walked everywhere with my friends. Now the couch and my butt are the best of friends.
Now it's time to put all the blame aside and move one to a healthier, thinner, happier me.
